Upper Body Vs. Lower Body

I have determined I have more lower body strength than upper body. And pushups are my number one enemy! The only soreness I still have is along the sides of my chest from those pushups!
Last night just as it got dark a storm hit us. So I don't think they had any fireworks. Which is sad for all the people who drove to see them. Glad we didn't attempt it.
Today we have our family barbecue. Still is pretty overcast but we will have fun anyway. I saw my niece who is pregnant. she has a small baby bump right now. lol But she looks great and so happy! My nephew also came down from PA and I will see him today. He has not come to delaware much in the last 10 years. I did see him at his mom's wedding last year though. So that will be great!
I might supplement my tae kwan do with weight lifting. mostly to develop better upper body strength. I have the weights just haven't used them. lol

Weights ewww! I hate them - but 'do' use this method of training with support from my personal trainer. I too have poor upper body strength. Martial arts doesn't require strength but 'speed'. The weight training adds that wee bit of effort when required the most. Don't go overboard though. Weights 'do' burn off alot of calories but always remember what your 'reason' was for doing them. Don't loose site of the main objective.

I am in the same boad with the strength. It has gotten better with my more recent workout routine, but my legs are really in great shape. The rest of me is only in sorta good shape.

Happy Saturday to you Mary.Just start off on the small weights and you'll be able to keep adding on more weight.Just don't go over doing it,we don't want you to look like a female Hulk.

I have 2 pound weights which R laughs at since they are so small compared to the ones he uses, but I like em!!! I hope you have a fabulous day with your family! Sounds wonderful...
