I had to buy a new outfit yesterday for going out to dinner. See, all I have is jeans, and raggy tee shirts. And sneakers. The place we were going to dinner is casual. I had daughter go shopping with me to her clothing store. I found a pair of capris, jean capri's and they were stretchy jeans. I wasn't sure of the size so I took two with me to the fitting room. Just to find out, I tried on the smaller size. They fit and were actually a little loose in the waist! I then found a cute blue/white striped cotton short sleeved sweater. But I needed a tee shirt for under it as it is very low cut. then it was off to the shoe store. I bought sneakers but they are so cute. They have skulls and rainbows on them!
On the ride down to the beach there was an accident on the other side of the highway. A really bad one. I saw a motorcycle laying on the road. They had closed the northbound lanes and were detouring them.
We got to the restaurant, which has been rebuilt after a fire a few years ago. They have an outside bar and even an outside dining area. There is a roof and in the dining area is plastic hanging to keep it warm in there. This was a big thing to us as we could smoke out there. It was a very mixed crowd. From older people dressed to the nines to young folks in jeans and tee shirts. While we were eating a wedding party came in. The bride looked gorgeous. We had a fun time even though the food was only so so. It was nice just to be out with an adult. I never did get a hold of ekyprogressive. But I think I was a little too late notifying him.
We only had two beers as we still had to drive back home and to pick up kota from his grandparents. We were home by 11 last night. LOL Real night owls we are.
It was a very nice place though. Right on the water, with the sparkling lights blinking off the water. And it wasn't too chilly either. I told hubby I want to retire down there. I have always loved Lewes. Its a quiet beach town.
so that was our evening and I must say, me and hubby will have to do that more often.
Nothing like dining by the sea...that's one thing that I miss about Florida.
