We felt the earthquake here, I didn't know what it was at the time. I thought I was just having a dizzy spell. Hope the heat breaks for you! We had a few days of 100+ and that was about all i could stand.

I think the worse thing my elkhound caught was a snake. I happened to be outside at the time. She was prancing around the yard throwing the snake up in the air and catching it. I couldn't make it to the back door. I was totally freaking out thinking that snake was gonna land on me sooner or later!

as much as I dislike summer, the heat and humidity, I am kind of sad to see it winding down. I have had this summer off due to being unemployed and I have enjoyed just hanging out with my son. gourd art sounds cool!

plants for the office, get things that don't bloom. that is how i cured my black thumb. I killed all of my houseplants. I now have 3 plants, they don't ever bloom, and they are growing like crazy!

we had a bad heat spell this past week. on tuesday me and kota hibernated to the basement. we had a fan, his game system, a chair for me and an air mattress for kota. LOL other than having to go up two flights to the bathroom, it was like a camping trip. hope you win that gift card!

losing the glasses would have been my worse nightmare too! I cannot see anything without my glasses, just big blurry blobs! at stacy's wedding, my niece, there was big downpour right when the wedding was supposed to start. we had to wait about 20 minutes but it was worth it.
