I saw a church sign the other day. It said, Listen to what people are feeling as well as saying. It struck a chord with me. Then I came across a blog on blogster by Transposer. https://transposer.blogster.com/how-we-see-others I don't know how to add links to my article so you will have to copy and paste that. I am also going to copy and paste one of the paragraphs here. I hope I am allowed to do this.
'It seems that before we react to the misdeeds of others we should try to find out something about what valleys they have walked through. Then instead of seeing their badness, their wrongness, their unconscious disregard for others... we might find some common ground from which to encourage one another out of their valley of introspective misery... and help them start climbing again.'
Since leaving blogster, I have made new friends over here. A wide variety of friends. And I think its good to have friends from different backgrounds. It helps us to grow as humans. You never know what someone has to offer unless you give them a chance. Thats my sunday sermon for you.
In other news, we went to see hubby's parents last night. We got on the subject of soldier son and I told mother in law that I am avoiding him. She laughed and said she knew that. Then she said, now I have to deal with him. She is also tired of the lying and when she tells soldier son what she thinks about something he suddenly has to get off the phone.
Father in law shared many stories of growing up in Michigan. And so did hubby. I think they are all excited about our trip this summer. We will be using our tax rebate to finance our portion of the trip. Thanks George! lol I can't wait to see where hubby grew up and meet all of the family. Our last vacation was in 2004 when soldier son graduated basic training and we all went to Georgia.
Its still cold here, only 40 degrees. Lets hope April will finally warm up and I can get started on my gardening.
