Yesterday Afternoon

Tuesday was an odd day all around....my car did strange things and driving home something odd happened.
I drive 44 miles to get to home in the afternoon.   Most of it on two lane roads in the country.   Yesterday there was a Police Car in front of me most of the way home.  It didn't bother me...I was sorta daydreaming and singing to the radio....I wasn't close to the Police car....I was a good 2 car links behind him, when all of a sudden he put on his brakes...and stopped in the middle of the road.....stuck his hand out the window and wiggled his finger  at me.
I wasn't sure what the heck was going on.   I didn't know if I had did something he didn't like....or if he wanted me to pass him or what the heck was going on.    He started driving again.....and I made sure I stayed at least two car links behind him.    I couldn't pass him...there were cars coming the other direction.
He finally pulled into a driveway and I got by him...but I just thought that was strange.    Did he think I was gonna hijack him or something?   He had someone in the back of the car....maybe he thought I was trying to help him escape or something?   Did he think I was following too close?
Has this ever happened to you all?

That is strange! Cops can do the weirdest stuff sometimes.

I can't say it has ever happened to me. Maybe he thought you were trying to make nice with the person in the backseat?
OR...it could just be your possessed car.

That was odd and unnerving I expect.

Knowing the way your car has been acting up lately, maybe your car was making funny faces and the cop caught sight of it all in his rear view mirror! Because you were oblivious to the whole thing, he figured "what the heck" and didn't bother doing anything further.

Does that sound like a good enough explanation?

Pretty strange, I must admit. I had a Texas patrolman stay on my heels for over 10 miles once--then he pulled me over! My license plate was "encased" too much.

At least I knew my cop wanted me to pull over. It was kinda hard to miss the flashing lights and siren.

We have several state police friends and they are always doing something crazy to us. When they see my car out, they will put a ticket beneath the washer blade. Perhaps he thought that he knew you. That is the only thing that I can imagine.

That sounds weird to me. Cops don't do that here. They just pull you over and you pray you don't get a ticket!

you have all the fun.

normally the cops go flying past me, they don't pull over to let me go.

Pulaski, TN is wonderful. I'm putting together a post on it right now.

Weird... no, that hasn't happened to me ever... I would have been wondering too!
Is your car normal today????
comment by kristilyn3 on Apr 23, 2008 9:41 AM ()
Nope. I've had people pop me the bird while driving, but I probably deserved it.
