Walking in Another Woman's Shoes

I firmly believe that we all must choose what is right for us, as individuals. Sometimes we have to make hard choices.
No one should have the right to lecture and berate us for those choices as long as it is legal.

Oklahoma has had an egregious law stating that women who choose to have an abortion must view an ultra sound of the fetus. This law was passed after our Governor, Brad Henry vetoed it. He said it made no provision for rape or incest.

An injunction has been granted by County District Judge, Vicki Robertson as to the law being unconstitutional.

Can you imagine a women who is already stressed to death having to watch this while the physician points out cardiac activity, dimensions of the fetus and movements of the arms and legs? This is also a part of this law.

There is nothing sadder or more tear filled than an abortion clinic. I have accompanied women there who had other children, were living in a shelter and had no job and an abusive husband plus no education and no prospect of anything but a job that paid the minimum wage. They were good mothers to the children they already had.

I cannot imagine why our law makers want to make this any harder than it already is. I don't know a single woman who
thinks abortion is a form of birth control.
