Crazy Mad Mamas

I have been picking up my grand daughters from school. At first, I didn't think my nerves could stand it but I have the situation under control.

You cannot believe how these women drive. Middle school is a driving frenzy and it is every woman for herself. They come late, drive like daredevils and try to usurp your hard won position. Elementary school is almost as bad.

I now leave at 2:30 with a good book and a coke to pick up Adrienne. I back into my parking space so I will be in a good place to nose out. She leaves the band room at 3:10 and we race off to the elementary school to pick up Ashley.
I can usually park on the street so I am spared the madness in the parking lot. Adrienne gets out and brings her to the car and we come home. Ellie arrives at my house at 4:15
to pick them up, having driven like a demon from Moore.

Oddly enough, I am beginning to look forward to this time with a good book. Currently it is a book about the Bronte sisters. Adrienne is brimming with news about school. She has a new boyfriend and they eat lunch together. Ashley is as usual a drama queen who has suffered greatly at
Adrienne's hands. It makes the weekends seem dull.

Ellie and I are going to an estate sale in the morning. There is a wonderful one across town but neither of us want to drive to Quail Creek. Our husbands do not wish to drive us. All of us spend so much time in the car in city traffic that only necessity gets us out of the house.

I am trying to nerve myself up for a garage sale. We have so much to rid ourselves of.
