Surprises

Ted says he is well enough to go on a cruise so I have
booked one for October. I got trip insurance just in case. We need to go while he can still carry on a good
conversation. The destination is familiar but we can just
stay on the ship and enjoy the luxury and the entertainment.
His impairment is in getting lost in places that he should
know, forgetting things and mixing some things up like the
recycle bin and the garbage can. He is under strict instruction from me to take no chances and stay safe.

He is making jewelry like there is no tomorrow and painting
and I am thankful that he has these creative outlets that
keep him busy and content.

I heard from Jeremy last night. When the weather is bad,
he always calls and volunteers to run errands for us. It
is much appreciated although we haven't had to take advantage
of it. He is such a good, sweet person. I haven't seen
Julia, the new baby but he promised to bring her by soon.
I afraid she will outgrow the gift that I have for her.

My grand daughter, Laura, who is in school at O.S.U. just
had a bad breakup with her boy friend. I feel for her since
she was so heavily invested in the relationship.

Bobby has faced the fact that he will have to have Chemo
once a month for the rest of his life. I hope he is strong
enough to endure it.

This is all the news that I have. I work hard at accepting
the medical issues and enjoying what bits of pleasure that
come my way. I led a fortunate life up to the time of
Bobby and Ted's respective diagnose's and everyone has
misery to cope with of one kind or another so I stay positive.

By the way, I read a really superb mystery novel by Robert
Galbreath. It is called The Cukoo's Calling. When I
reached the last page, I noticed that it was a psuedo
name for J. K. Rowling. It was much better than The Casual
Vacancy. I could hardly wait to get to the end and find
out who the murderer really was. I didn't peek but I was
tempted to.

A cruise sounds like a much needed break. I'm so sorry for Bobby...

It will be because we love the ocean. If we never get off the ship it will
be lovely.

A cruise sounds lovely. Wish I could talk DH into one.
