Rex and I have just returned from our walk around the neighborhood. We like going early before it reaches l00 degrees. We often run into people who like to pet him, some of them have had goldens before and know that almost invaribly they have sweet temperaments.
My son made the most delectable salad Sunday night. He had a recipe that he had obtained from a chef and was sworn to secrecy but it was just a good vinagerette with 3 cups finely chopped basil in it. I am never averse to short cuts so I brought home two bottles of vinagerette from the
grocery store yesterday. The salad was mixed green, crum bled feta cheese, sunflower seeds and croutons.
I hope to get Ted started on the floor for the kitchen and the guest bath today. I got an aged cherry laminate and I think it will really look good in the black and white kitchen. Most of the kitchen budget went on the counter tops but it was worth every penny. The laminate floor will pro bably be a big headache because it locks on all four sides.
No matter what he does, I am going to work on the front door. It is very ugly and I am thinking that paint and some molding will spiff it up.
I finally got my library card . I read a biography of Ted Kennedy called Last Lion. It wasn't terribly well written.
I hope the people of South Carolina are as sick of their Gov's
true confessions. How can his wife possibly let him stay at home after all that has poured forth. Someone should have told him to shut up a longtime ago.
