Holiday

Ted and I were bored to tears this morning with nothing
to do and no where to go so we decided to go to a movie,
A Walk In The Woods with Robert Redford and Nick Nolte.
These old guys, one good looking and the other (Redford)
devastatingly handsome have aged big time but still
kept us chuckling. We enjoyed their struggles as they
attempted to walk the Appalachen Trail.

It was interesting to us that this movie targeted the older
crowd and the theater was packed. I think a lot of people
would go to the movies oftener if there was something beside minions and animation on offer.

We topped the morning off with lunch at our favorite
Mexican restaurant. After a very few carbs for the last
few weeks, it was sleep city for me. By the way we hit
100 degrees today but rain is promised this week. Rex
enjoyed the day because I brought him my leftover fajitas.

I will have to wait until that movie is on TV. Our theatre turns the volume up so high I have a headache and my ears hurt before the movie even begins.

I wish for you very good, top-of-the-line air conditioning. In movies I'm also tired of seeing all these minions characters everywhere. The last movie I saw was Far From The Madding Crowd, but I wasn't that impressed, I prefer the original with Julie Christie. Looks like almost everything is either animated, super-thriller-action-killers or some political, tension-inducing thing. No wonder your film was packed.

We do have great air conditioning. Almost everyone in Oklahoma has ceiling fans plus some form of air conditioning. I don't feel the heat
as much now than I am older than God. I saw the new version of Far From
The Madding Crowd and preferred the old one too.

Lucky Rex. I enjoy going to the movies these days, didn't use to but now I just love it! Glad to hear you liked the movie, Ron had bought the book for both of our Dads

The movies are close and wheel chair friendly for Ted so it is a win win
situation. Your dad's will love the book.

We haven't hit 100 but with the humidity it feels that bad. Normal should be around 75. I was looking for something new to watch on youtube and real people hiking the AT sounds like a good idea. It's something me and my buddy had talked about for years and never did.

Alas, I will never get to the Serengeti for a photo safari and I will
never hike the Appalachen trail...some dreams die hard. The movie was
a good sustitute because it had great views of the mountains.
