I usually bring home a lot of mediocre fiction from the
library and it is wonderful to find a winner.
It is called THE INVENTION OF WINGS, by Sue Monk Kidd.
The story is told alternately by a girl with abolitionist
leaning and her personal slave, Handful. It is riveting
and the best book that I have gotten hold of in ages.
My niece, Dawn sent me a fun little book called, IS YOUR
CAT PLOTTING TO KILL YOU. It talks about your tom cat
taking a three week vision quest and coming home looking like
he has just finished his sixth tour in Vietnam. I think we
have all experienced that.
I am ready for the party tomorrow night. My dear SIL is
turning sixty five . I hope it makes her feel special because
she certainly is.
