Fun, Weather and Dogs

Ted and I went to the Jewel Box Theater last night to see
Bus Stop. I had seen the movie but didn't realize the
play was so funny. I laughed until I cried at the girl
who did the Marilyn Monroe pole dance without a pole while she screeched That Old Black Magic. It was really a good
production and merriment is like medicine or maybe even better.

It has been warm but windy here. I don't have the motivation to work in the yard like I should. Jose has
put on so much fur since he has been getting good nutrition that he is panting when it is the least bit warm. I think
we will have to get him shaved for summer. I don't like
to take dogs to a groomer, but he is going to have to go.
I can see that he is going to love it when I turn on the air conditioner. Heat doesn't bother Rex that much.

Ted's condition seems to be getting worse. He is still
the same sweet person he always was but he confuses
messages and directions. Jose has been so good for him
and spends lots of time in his lap. You just can't
beat pet therapy!

I'm so glad Ted has Jose! We're close by, so call anytime you need help. Love ya'll.

I'm glad you have Jose and vice versa. Sounds like a good match, especially for Ted. Don't worry about the yard... or hire someone

I hate seeing my backyard in such a mess! I will hire the twins when
lawn season begins but the back yard needs to be sprigged. The kiddos are darling!

Too bad about Ted, but you're so right about the benefit of Jose. Benny and buster were/are like your two: Benny could deal with hot or cold and he'd lay his black body in the summer sun. Buster with his shorter thinner hair hops on two feet at a time when it's too cold and laid down once in cool grass when it was too hot for him to keep going. Hopefully your interest in things outdoors will return soon!

The dogs and especially Jose are clowns. Rex is old but still playful
and we hope the cancers stay manageable.

What a good thing you have Jose, a lap-sized dog. Perfect. I have only seen Bus Stop in 2 movie versions, the Marilyn one and Margot Kidder. I liked both.

The play was so much funnier than the movie. I saw the Marilyn Monroe and Don Murray one. Jose is the perfect size for Ted to enjoy.

Yes dogs and cats too have great healing powers. I wish more of them could be recruited to help those who could use some unconditional love. I never saw the play "Bus Stop." How nice that you got some fun out of seeing it again.

wouldn't it be great if old people would welcome dogs or cats. The people that I know all say it is too much responsibility when in actuality it is a great joy.
