I just got back from a fun time. Nine of my friends and I went to see the sequel to Mama Mia and to an Italian place for lunch afterward. The age range was l6 to 89 and I must say that enjoyed everyone but particularly the sixteen year old who is really a nice child and much more at ease with grown ups than my sixteen year old
grandaughter. I feel so fortunate to have them in my life.

The food was good, I liked the movie not loved it but it did make me laugh and cry a little. I missed Meryl Streep who is one of my favorite actresses but I loved Christine Baranski in her part. To my
mind she is the ultimate clothes horse but I didn't know she could sing and dance. I liked the original much better.

The temperature here has been ungodly ranging from l00 to l09. It means you get an instant headache when you go outside. Ted tells me that it got to be l20 in Veit Nam and I don't see how they stood it in all those heavy clothes. Of course, the temperature was minor compared to all the ills of war.
