Doctors and More Doctors.

Yesterday, we spent the day at the V.A. Ted had a day long appointment and it was stressful. I also had two interviews with a neuro psychologist concerning his condition. Someone had slapped a diagnosis of dementia on him without a test or a consultation. This was an attempt to have it removed. He is no more demented than I am. I hope we both did well. Ted was tested extensively and bore it with patience. Today, I have an appointment with my cardiologist and tomorrow we both have appointments with our new primary care doctor. Our old one retired. To compound all of this, Jose ate a chocolate cooke, vomited and had bloody stools. I tried to get him in to a vet before our 8:30 appointment and it was impossible. He was much better when we got home and was able to eat and keep it down. We worried about him all day and were so relieved to be greeted by a frisky and loving little fellow. Ted's psychiatrist had told me to be sure and go with ted to his appointment. She was not present but she said they had her notes. She is a great doctor.

We ate lunch at the V.A. and it was truly horrible but we were so hungry that it didn't matter.

We were so tired when we got home. A friend brought over a crab salad and I was immensely grateful not to have to cook dinner. We went to bed before it was dark outside. I took a sleeping pill and had a wonderful, restful sleep.

To make matters worst, the city has blocked our driveway working on our street. It is a hair raising experience getting in and out of our driveway.

Donna complains that I have too many appointments (she's the driver) when she should be the one seeing docs, but she has tests and then skips the follow-ups for treatment. I'm still trying to get my legs in shape for summer and so far, I am in better shape than last year. From April on last summer I missed most of it, unable to do much. Happy Solstices!

I hate going to the doctor but yesterday went to the cardiologist and
thrilled him to death. He has my blood pressure down to 120/70 and it hasn't been that low since I was 30. Work on the legs, I can no longer walk the two miles a day that I used to do.

I do not know how my old dog survived eating a whole bag of chocolate candy, twenty years ago. He threw up the wrappers and was fine.

You had a tough dog!! Somehow, Jose seems fully recovered and went for a
walk yesterday.

Wow! Trials and tribulations abound...
I am glad Ted has patience, I do not but I suppose sometimes you just have to since you have no choice.
Thank goodness for thoughtful friends! They make the world go round.

Ted said the tests clearly were testing his frustration level, there was a lot of math. I am afraid I would have flunked but we get the results on the second of May.
