No- this is not Jeri (elderjane). She is much prettier and I have no idea what her husband looks like. I just could not pass up the mental image she painted of a dog taking up ones' bed. I chose the long perspective to accent the dog, who by the way, looks quite comfortable.

I used parts of my own bedroom- like the bed and dresser. My walls are a pale gold and my drapes, etc., are ivory. After I painted these walls a darker gold I did not want the washed out ivory on the bedding, so I chose purple to contrast the gold. It is, after all, a painting, not a photograph.

These kinds of paintings are fun to create. There will be no more for a few weeks as I will be going to New York soon. Until I leave, I will check out your posts.
