On Sunday, Great Explorations Children Museum in St. Petersburg held a reception for the artists whose work was selected to be included in the mobile art gallery. My girlfriend, Liz, went with me. We took her grand daughter, who had a blast- not with the art, but with all of the displays and activities.
I took the opportunity to see Sunken Gardens, attached to the museum. Actually, Great Explorations was built beside the historic site to save it from the proverbial wrecking ball. At any rate, I have lived in Florida since 1987 and this is the first time I ever saw it. One photograph is of some trumpet vines, which I think are beautiful. Each of the trumpets is between 12 and 16 inches long. I have tons of photos of water lilies and all sorts of tropical flowers but I will spare you. I also took pictures of tree vines and roots that I do not understand. They are not banyan trees but something similar and are fascinating!
I have so much to do and no energy to get it done. I think I am depressed again. It is something I struggle with constantly (another symptom of PTSD.
Things have gone to hell on a handrail. A teenager here in Florida bludgeoned his parents to death and held a party in the house with their corpses in the bedroom. A couple had their 10 year old son help them in a home invasion/burglary by asking him to climb through a window and unlock the front door so that they could get in. And, God, please stop with the daily, "where is Casey Anthony" updates! I don't care!
