This time of year we get some spectacular skies, and in another month or so, the birds will start to arrive from up north. This picture was taken in my development just a few streets/blocks from where I live. I like not just the clouds, but how they reflect on the water. That is an un-doctored image- no corrections or special effects.

Romney and Ryan scare me- and that is even before we get to their politics. Their appearances scare me. Is it too much make-up? Too much hairspray (or hair mousse?) They look unnaturally finished... and Ryan's eyes. They give me the willies! I wonder if they would bother me so much if their politics were not so scary?

For Catholics: The USA is about to get a new saint, Kateri Tekawitha, sometimes called the Lily of the Mohawks. Her shrine in New York has permission to use my wolf poster to print/sell in their gift shop. They receive 100% of the profits from the posters they print/sell, so I was pleased to learn this.

I must add that the NY Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled that the Defense Against Marriage Act or DOMA (whereby marriage is strictly defined as being between one man and one woman) has been ruled constitutional- the second state to do so. Now, it is on to the Supreme Court. Obama has instructed the DoJ not to defend the law. We are getting closer to permitting gay marriage throughout our nation. Yeah!!
