Friday night I was on MyBloggers's chat with Coincutter, Elkhound, Redwolftimes, and a few other folks. I got there late because I got all caught up in my painting and nearly forgot. I am glad that I finally remembered because it was a great opportunity to get to know some of the folks here better. I am amazed by the things folks deal with, like children with grave disabilities, and still they have personality and a great sense of humor. Gary is so proud of his son who is quite remarkable despite his disability. Guess it is true that God never gives us more than we can handle- or for my atheist friends- we find the internal resources to cope with what we must.
I was working on this painting this weekend. This is not how I expected it to turn out- not to suggest that I do not like it. The image in my mind was darker and broodier, like an overcast sky and maybe some fog over the water, but my unconscious mind kept directing me towards brighter/lighter colors. Amazing how that happens!
