I was going through my artwork looking for pieces that would fit within a series that I am creating and found this. It is dated 2004, but I don't recall painting until 2005, and the date was applied long after I finished the painting. I always confuse names and dates! Did I start painting in 2004 or 2005? Maybe it was 2004. Another 'duh' moment.
At any rate, I want to group together all of the paintings that exemplify my personal style of painting people. I think I will include this one despite the fact that the arms are a bit long. Art is supposed to chronicle the artist's growth, so I might as well not shrink from my own.
