Can't tell you how many learning experiences are wrapped into this single image. For one, I decided to break all the rules and paint in acrylics on Bristol paper. I will never do that again! I did it because I got just about what I wanted on paper, but my drawing skills are not that great, and I was afraid that I would not be able to draw it this well again. Of course, there are other ways to transfer on to canvas, but laziness---and the desire to experiment got the best of me.
I think I am done painting homeless. I want to paint ordinary people doing ordinary things. I had a very large black snake hanging out in my front flower bed. One day the mailman delivered a package to my door and the snake spooked him. Now, that would make a fun painting! Then there are my Red Hat friends. We look perfectly silly in our clothes. It is fun dress-up time for adults. Feel free to share ideas.
BTW: I miss Jeri. I know; she is moving and likely busy beyond belief. I saw a cartoon recently that I thought about posting. It is of a guy hugging his PC. The caption reads: "I love my computer because my friends live in it!"
