Deep Blue is the largest vessel to enter Tampa Bay. She is over 665 feet long and has a draft of over 50,000 tons, and stands up to twenty stories tall. The vessel lays pipes in the Gulf of Mexico in depths of up to 8,200 feet.
I love ships; I love the water, but that is not why I am posting this. I clicked on the news story about Deep Blue and was surprised as heck to see a bright red ship staring back at me, so I thought you might enjoy it too.
