Here I am on Sunday at Tampa's Annual Chalk Walk. The lady next to me is someone on staff at USF named Kim. She was wonderful and was able to answer far more questions than I could! Fortunately, with it being Mother's Day it was very slow.
Yesterday I presented an online PowerPoint Presentation to the VSA members. It was fun and I hope, helpful for them. Of course, one day last week I had to prepare the presentation and that took most of one day. I hate those awful blue screens so I tend to use lots of colors and images when I create the master slides. Those blue screens remind me of the days when one's computer crashed and you never understood why. To me, they shout, "You screwed up again, stupid!" I refuse to use blue screens- not even the ones with nice gradients.
I am doing my division newsletter now. Half of it will not get done until next week because the submission deadline is not until May 15th. I like doing the division newsletter because I can have fun with it. Here is an image I stuck in there and the accompanying text:
Dear Orville,
Just bought Ma and me a cabin cruiser to take out on the lake. The first time we took it out, the Coast Guard Auxiliary was out there giving those Free Vessel Safety Checks. Well, you know how much I love free stuff so I said ok, but they refused to give me one of them there stickers like everybody else got. Instead, me and Ma are gonna go back to school. We are gonna take one of them there Boating Safety classes. Then you’re gonna have educated cousins in the family!
Yours truly,
Bubba
P.S. This here is a picture of our new cabin cruiser.
We’re selling it cheap– wanna buy it?
