Well, you go take care of more pressing things. The spaces for blogging will still be here when you next return.
Will you forgive me for not commenting in any specific way, meaning not addressing any particular detail, commenter, situation, etc.? Instead, because I do not have direct connection with any of this and a lot of the information is new to me, I would just like to comment in a more general sense. I appreciate all the information that is shared to better educate people like me...and I appreciate all the dialogue that takes place in the form of comments and replies because it helps those who are directly connected to deal with understand better, and it helps people like me to learn more from the questions, answers, ideas, and concerns that are discussed.
Ahhh, a bit nostalgic, are we? That's ok, I do that sort of thing all the time!
To calm the world, slow it down just a bit, to let everyone catch a breath and take the time to REALLY look around and get to know everybody through less greedy, less judgemental, less controlled eyes. In other words, I'd strip away all the "frills and chains" so everything is pretty darn even and equal in everyone's eyes.
Wow, I didn't even know you did portraits! I told you before that I was a really bad artist, so if I can't even draw a flower or an apple that's flattering, I certainly wouldn't even attempt someone's portrait! I am impressed with your confidence and determination to master this amazing art! I see the potential you have for achieving it!
Like I said before, it's getting there. Each time you write about it and I read about, something new has been done or added. Soon, it will be finished and you will enjoy it to it's fullest.
Well, I am so sorry to be reading this AFTER it's already too late. (I'm still having a problem getting all my notifications from mybloggers.) I don't know what I could have even offered, but I would have tried.
I am happy to hear about the progress on your kitchen, though! That's great news!
Nighty night. Sleep well.
It's getting there. It'll be worth it in the end and the wait you've gone through won't even matter any more.
(((Tracy))) It's ok to have times like these. You miss her and you love her.
I know you laughed when you first read this just like I am laughing now!
I have yet to comment on a joez anything, for I have not left a single word on any post or comment he has ever made. I have read some of the words he has written, mostly by accident, and I have wanted to "put my two cents in", but he is not worth my time or effort. I have even encountered some nice, friendly comments he has left on other bloggers' posts, but I will not even acknowledge seeing him there. Will I ever communicate with him? I hope not, but I will and I am willing if he attacks me or anybody else on my page or in my presence.
I noticed that joez has ruffled a few new feathers over at the other site lately, too. Oh, well, at least we have tha comfort of knowing that we have a lot more to offer to this world than some do.
I'm glad everything went as well as it did at work and that you could just make this workday your own kind of day.
I agree with your entire post. Anger is definitely a REAL emotion, just as guilt, shame, and many other REAL emotions. And, you are right...if an ankle is broken, a doctor is needed to fix it, to repair it...and sometimes therapy is needed to get it to work better. Depression, with or without all of the real emotions, needs to be treated as needed. Sometimes medication is needed and/or sometimes therapy is needed. Either or both may be short-term or long-term, just like with other sicknesses, conditions, or injuries. There is no shame in getting sound professional help for any illness or problem, regardless of the joking around that might interfere or impede. So, yes, it does take courage...and encouragement from those who know that all of this is not a joking matter. Just as we do our best to keep people from using off-color language, ethnic slurs, and other offensive terms, we must discourage them from using words such as "shrink" and poking fun at people who need this kind of help.
Wow, I wish I could just zip over to that store! Sounds like a fun day, for sure!
