I'm thinking of an old Turtles (how appropriate) song...Happy Together.

Teachers rule! So much emphasis is put on steering people toward celebrities...glittering stars...that it's almost impossible to get people to see the real heroes of the world. What a great tribute this is!

New love is the grandest! But, you should include other things in your life too...don't wrap everything up in one or two things. Just think how much more special it will be when the next full day together will mean!

What a great post! I need to remember a lot of these, if not all of them. By the way, I do enjoy the scenery along most detours...it's just that some detours aren't as pretty as others. I guess I'll have to look harder for the good things.

"I pray that I will always have enough love for myself to know that no person should ever treat me like that." <<< Don't ever forget those words!

Domestic violence of any kind should never be tolerated. It is dangerous, of course, which is always the primary concern, but it can do so much more damage in so many ways. The victim may get it first-hand, but the rippling effect reaches far more people and lives, making everybody a victim.

Are you laughing yet? Or is your head still spinning? I can jump to conclusions at time and feel like such an ass after, so I can relate to Lynn...BUT, I might have called others and tried to rationalize before calling the police. If I did call the police, I'd express my fears...not necessarily report a drowning! Oh, my...she needs a little control.

Gee, my goodness, you sound a little snippy!

Sounds a little like my week...was something in the air? The water? Both? I wonder if "my" I-know-it-takes-24-to-48-hours-but-I-need-it-sooner guy is related to "your" ihavetohavemyownwayorpitchafitlady person! Don't think it isn't possible because that would explain why one is here and one is down there...they're so bad that their obviously estranged from each other!

Hmmmm, can't say that I love the video you posted here...but, ok, it is funny.

Embellishing...sometimes it may be needed to impress a point when mere expressing one isn't enough. Authors might consider mentioning if they tend to use embellishments...which, by the way, do not necessarily change the core of the book/story...but, maybe it isn't really necessary unless there is more fiction than fact in it.

Lox is cured, so therefore considered cooked in it's own way...and "cured" is often referred to as smoked, for smoking is a very popular means used for curing. Lox, often served for breakfast (or with foods that can be associated with breakfast, such a bagels with cream cheese) is more an "added flavor" than a meal (or entree) in itself.

The smoked salmon you are referring too is cooked...smoked...generally a "hunk" of fish served as a main course or as part of a main course.
