Here She Comes ... ... Fay

The computer models have Fay moving slightly east and making landfall in southwest Florida.T.S.Fay forecast to hit Keys, west Florida.
Tropical Storm Fay is now forecast to intensify into a Category 1 hurricane with sustained winds of up to 90 mph and take aim for the Keys and the west coast of Florida.
I live on the east coast but west of the coast. We will get a lot of rain and gusts either way.
The grocery stores are crazy.People are stocking up for a major hurricane. The poor grocery stores get all the items returned after the storm passes.
I have lived in Florida my entire life,so I don't freak out.If Fay was a category 5 hurricane,I would be shaking in my boots.
I feel sorry for all the homeless people and stray animals. We have one of the highest populations of homeless people in Florida and not enough shelters.
I will keep you updated if anything changes.

Laurie, you need a new article. Maybe one about the four-foot croc?

Thank God the winds weren't bad, but the RAIN!!!!! Parts of FL have been soaked with 20 inches of water, and alligators are literally swimming in the streets!

So very happy this storm system passed us by. We had a bare drizzle in the afternoon, but some others were not so lucky.

Pardon the pun, but Fay turned out to be a lot of "hot air".

Stay safe

Hey girl, I'd freak out if she was a Category 3! I mean that's 120 mph winds, but she didn't even hit the 1 status! Good for us!

Be safe! Just in case you haven't... google " hurricane list". After Katrina, I was amazed at the things I could have done to prepare.

Stay safe & stay inside. California had a really bad storm last winter that brought us wind & rain that were considered equal to category 1. My finace and I wandered outside to see what it was like... I nearly blew away and decided that hurricanes are not a element of Mother Nature I ever want to encounter. Keep safe!

I hope Fay comes up the coast to us, we could use the rain. I am glad it is a weak storm and not a high category storm. you take care and keep us posted.

Oh heavens! I haven't been following this... I hope everything is okay with you and yours! I know that weather can really be scary at times!

You have the same attitude towards hurricanes that we in Oklahoma have tornadoes.
