Boxing Day Sales

On xmas morning, I'm looking through the sale fliers, which I don't get at home, and OMG!!!

DYSON VACUUM CLEANERS ON SALE!!! AT 3 DIFFERENT STORES!

I've been keeping an eye out for at least a year now, and this is the first sale I've seen!

The vacuum cleaner I have is 14 years old, I've replaced 2 parts on it, and both parts need replacing again, plus the hose. I have to tape up the hose every few vacuums, it's split open about 1/3 of the way around in one spot, and starting to split in a few other places.

After reading some reviews, I bought the DC21, a smaller vacuum that takes up less space and will be easier to use on the stairs and should fit in the closet. I was also looking at the DC25 ball upright, but it wouldn't fit the closet, and wouldn't work well for stairs.

Are you really still reading my vacuum article? Really? Anyway, I bought it online from FutureShop, with FREE shipping, and $100 off the regular price of $600. Walmart had it for $10 for less, but then I'd have to brave the horrible traffic and crowds.

This vacuum might just be the best thing that happens to me this xmas (kind of sad, really...)

I was wondering which one you had.
With carpeted stairs to vacuum, I figured the smaller
stow-away model would work better for me.
It's been shipped, can't wait to get it!!

I was dreaming of that vacuum while I was vacuuming with my crappy
old one today.

Nothing wrong with loving your vacuum cleaner. Congrats on getting a Dyson. I don't have one because I can't decide which model would be best for me. With those rental cabins I do a lot of housecleaning in the summer so I spend a lot of time thinking about the most important features of a good vacuum cleaner. They include: sucks up the dirt and pet hair efficiently (of course), easy to use attachments for dusting and sucking up dead flies, lightweight for the stairs (as you say), and plenty long cord.

The cord length was a complaint in the reviews of the vacuum I
bought, but I figure that if it's a problem, I'll just buy a short
extension cord to keep with it.
