... and loving it!

The DH and kids went to the cabin for 2 nights, and I'm at home! Yeah!! It's so good! I'm getting tons of stuff done!

Today I:
ran 6.5k
potted chocolate mint I rooted from clippings
built a potting table nearly from scratch
built 3 little tables/stools from scrap wood
did laundry
watered the garden
did my usual chores
canned blueberry-orange conserve (sugarless)
blogged on mybloggers!

The potting table is counter height and measures 5'x2'. It cost me $10 for 5 2x4s, and all other supplies were left overs from other projects, even the screws! It took HOURS to build, but I'm really happy with it. I'll be posting photos at some point.

The little stools are just made from scrap 2x4s. I saw one in my neighbour's greenhouse, and I thought I need one of those! Or two... or three... One is going in the garden so I can use it for sitting on and to raise up the sprinkler over some of the taller plants. The other two will probably be used as plant stands.

Tomorrow I'll spend the day at the cabin. Hopefully will get to swim since it's a hot day, 29c expected, but it's also regatta day, so the beach and water may be too crowded. :( Bought the kids their own little kayaks so I really want to try them out! They are just 6' long sit on top kayaks that were on a huge sale - $99, which was $70 off!
