Ulterior Motive

ulterior motive

ul·te·ri·or mo·tive (plural ul·te·ri·or mo·tives)

noun
Definition:

underlying motive: a second and underlying motive, usually a selfish or dishonorable one.

Why.... would someone you think was a friend have an ulterior motive other than friendship?

What would cause someone to "cause" heartache and damage on purpose?

I have a blogger friend who is suffering and I am trying to help her understand, but dear friends, this beyond me.

Thinking of you M~<3<3<3

Cindykins, don't know the circumstance. I do know someone whom I once trusted told an awful lie about me that affected my entire life. Sometimes, people are just cruel. Wish I knew why.Jealousy seems to be the motive more often than not, though, or so it seems to me.

I seem to have been skipped in the flame that you guys are talking about. I hope that it quits pretty quickly. No one here should be mistreated like that.

Thank goodness, I have not received any "sick" e-mails. I do wish we all could just love each other for what we are. After all, we probably tell all of you things we don't tell our best friends. Shame on you who take your frustrations out on someone else. Treat your brother as you wish to be treated. Nenah

I once reported to a sociopath...and I read all I could about them, they are incapable of compassion and incredibly dangerous...It is said 5 percent of the population is afflicted, it's important that we recognize these characters and I can only hope this isn't one of them...

Yep, I got the same message. I don't understand how something like this can happen. Will drop you a note later. I just don't understand.

lots of sick puppies out there, and some times online people are screwing with your head. I am an eternal optimist and believe that most people are good and so far, most people have proved to be just that... but once in a while you run into someone who can get very close to you via their words, sharing their "life" etc via the internet when in reality they are very deceptive people (for reasons I cannot comprehend). It's not like you meet most on line people so there are some very strong visual clues missing in the relationship, and it's not like you have any other verification of their life except what they tell you.

So be careful, protect your heart and your pocketbook!
