Yesterday while getting ready for a colonoscopy, I came across this video. Hope you enjoy it.

I'm awaiting the official results, but I know the doc found a polyp - either .5 inches or 1 inch long. My driver says one inch, my memory says a half inch. My memory isn't trustworthy after being "drugged up" as the doc warned me, so she may be right. On the other hand, does size really matter?

The follow up instructions say I have to have another one in six month. That seems soon, compared to the 10 years since my last one. On the other hand, he may change his mind when he gets the biopsy results back from the lab. On the other hand it may just be a precaution.

He also scoped my stomach. Nothing in the follow up directions about that.

In any event, I hope he can tell me why I've felt so lousy for the past few months. I'll know more on Monday when I call him.

Update - my doc said the biopsies were normal. He wants me to have the next one in 6 months because one of the polyps was so big. He wants to make sure he got it all and that it doesn't come back. I still think there's something he's not telling me. Anyway, it's good news in that regard. I just with he had found out why I'm having the problems that sent me to the doctor in the first place.

I had a polyp on my last colonoscopy. It was not malignant. Bet yours won't be either.

My experience mirrors jjoohhnn's. Polyps were found and removed and follow-up was scheduled for 5 years. Had one 5 years later, no polyps. Keep us in the loop.

I'll let you know what the doc says on Monday. See my answer to John.

Six months does seem soon for having a polyp. I had them the first two times and the colonoscopies were separated by four years. Just had a colonoscopy in May and I'm good for another 5 years since nothing was found. Hope everything comes out Ok.

I had a couple removed in my first one - 10 years ago. The doc said come back in 10 years. That's why six months seems kind of soon to me. I hope I have some answers on Monday when I talk to him. I felt okay after my first one - this time not so much. Fever, chills, lots of pain yesterday. Getting better today.
