What a sad list! I'm a Motown, R&B, Blues fan - but there's nothing like Mozart's Violin Sonatas.
How lucky you were to share your life with such a woman. Most of us can only dream of such a love. Thank you for sharing your memories and tales of your life together. You had a very special relationship.
I agree there are times when a 4-letter-word is necessary. On the other hand, sometimes using a substitute carries more weight because it's such a surprise.
Cool photos!
I never developed a taste for Twinkies and the like. Maybe I didn't smoke enough pot - I'd get so hungry I'd eat almost anything.
Oops, I had the ages mixed up. I never counted on getting homework from kids who'd gone on "vacation" during the school year. Kudos to you for getting them to do it at all!
I might take the drugs myself - it's so much easier to be patient with other people's kids. You taught high school so perhaps didn't have many classes in child development? At 8, kids are changing from the Concrete stage into the Abstract stage so finger counting is pretty common.
Thanks! Don't worry about repeating yourself - I'm glad to have the suggestions. I had no idea. I'll call Rob and ask him about the manufacturer, then I'll call a pro. If it's not worth messing with, I'll donate it to Goodwill or something similar.
My aunt "visited" me several hours after she died. I don't believe in psychics or most of that kind of stuff. But I know that spiritual connections are very strong when you are bonded by love.
I am so sorry to learn this.
Years ago, I had a "big orange cat" who would take walks with my son and me. If we went to the ice cream store on the corner, he would sit under a giant spruce tree and wait for us. Then he walked home with us. The neighbors got a kick out of it too. He never slept on me - unlike the one I have now who would sleep on my face if he thought of it.
Wow, that's telling 'em!
There should be an agency that will come to her home to work with her and Medicare will cover it 100% for a short time. Perhaps there's a visiting nurses org. that could do it or her insurance company may have some suggestions (if she has a Medicare supplement or Medigap policy.) Her health sounds better than what was first thought - I'm sure she's happy about that. Thanks for letting us know how she's doing.
I had natural child birth with my son and decided that I would NEVER have it again. It was 36 hours long and 30 of them were sheer he!!. By the time I asked for drugs it was too late and all they did was make me hallucinate. Just do what's right for you and baby. As for the stumps, I was told diesel fuel would do the trick. I used it but my trees weren't all that big. You can't grow anything else in that spot though. Of course, you don't want to get caught using it.
