I called in sick this morning. I said I had a sinus headache. Really, I don't.

I just needed some time. I want to meet my daughter's home-hospital instructor. He's scheduled to come again this morning, and I've never met him.

I need to spend some time updating my gradebook and working on lesson plans. I can't get it done during the school day because I'm so distracted by all the noise and kids.

When I've finished the work, I'm going to run to the gym. Then, I'm baking a cake--practice for a first communion cake that I'm doing in April.

But first, I'm going to goof off on the computer and cook a pot of steel cut oats. Then, I'm going to take the dog for a little walk before the snow comes.
