My son-in-law in Memphis was so involved with the Tigers all season that I had to root for them (besides my school Mizzou and KU are long time rivals). Memphis was hitting their frees in the previous game and I thought when KU started fouling at 2 minutes, the coach was nuts. He proved that wrong!. I could not believe that Memphis coolest and best gunners missed frees that would have iced it. Oh well KU really was the better team last night and deserved to win
Your avatar caught my attention. Maybe we elect it to happen. This sure looks like a fun place to visit. Cheers
What a great excuse to file late. Think it would work? NOT! I always just run it through my Tax Cut Software as I have for years and now e-file. And try not to get sick about thinking where the money is going. Well, not now so much to war - nope, mostly to pay interest on the loans for the war. Elections are coming - hang on!
Behind all these protests is a reason. Considering Tibet has been under Chinese occupation for many decades, it may have more to do with the new Chinese rail line built to haul away the Tibetan copper and other resources than to a suddenly reawakened thirst for freedom.
My first reaction is to say "only in America" do people need to show off a gadget to turn on their windshield wipers and have such precociously well-developed sense of greed that even the very young will shoot their beloved sister to protect their own bag of whatever, especially when they do not have in their veins the latest profit-making potion of the pharmaceutical folks and have handy the ubiquitous product of the NRA Lobby. BUT then I think, sadly, it is a very contagious virus that is going around and maybe soon it will be hard to escape this craziness. THEN I see young people like you (and there ARE a few) who have some sense and I think hey, what the heck, it will be OK But y'all (Texas term) are the ones that SHOULD be fruitful and multiply - not, heaven forbid, THOSE
Saya pikir sushi tidak ada di Klaten. 'Topi ada pecel lele yang enok; saya suka. However, my taste for Indonesian food far surpasses my ability in the Bahasa. Cheers
I definitely agree, Rara! Creeepy! Just look at the ones running the US government.
What a great postI probably would have loved that dangerous bookcase. My wife remembers her Father's library. She used to sneak in and look at his many books - some were in Sanskrit - He was a School Superintendent in Java. I think the books all got burned in the revolution Cheers
Thats what happens when the old man dies and the spoiled kids take over a company (as though they need the money). We have shopped for 2 years now at Target (just across the street)
I can sure identify with this, having been there and done that with the animals (by the way we did like the Zoo in Bandung). As soon as all the kids left home to college, etc., out to new homes went all the cats, dogs and even fish. Enough putting in food and cleaning up the inevitable results! I agree and gladly pat and remark on other peoples pets - what is her name?, beautiful animal etc. - smiling inside all the time that I don't have to take care of it.Cheers PS nice new picture. PPS favorite animal in Bandung was ayam bakar
Wow! What a collection. Funny stuff! My first computer was Radio Shack Model III (having missed out on I and II) with a cassette tape storage. I remember we did have a dialup bulletin board where you could leave messages - kind of like blogging, and that was in the 1970s - no nice cartoons though - not enough speed or RAM. When I finally got a "floppy disk" I thought I really had a computer. Well now they are mostly for news and entertainment. However, now I have to go do a consulting job - only by logging out of here and launching Excel - bye
I used to have a marvelous book titled, Godel, Escher, Bach (for some reason) that had the neat little couplet similar to yours:
The statement below is true. The statement above is false.
Like an Escher painting, sort of. I think Quantum Mechanics works like that (if at all). Cheers, and thanks for the "Happy Sunday" - it is Easter
I was a chemical engineer newly converted democrat and would be hippy in those days who often had occasion to go to SF on business and would change clothes and go hang out in Haight Asbury - "are you a nark?" It was a romantic period but I had too much fondness for cheap wine AND vodka martinis and homemade beer (tried weed, did not like it, inhale or not) so crashed 3 years later - that was when I became a Christian and met my now wife. I can't say I long for the days but I do get nostalgic and do still long for peace. Thanks for this post
But that cosmic stuff is so cool, as you see on anacoanas site. Even surgeons must look at the sky and say "so what is that all about?". Good luck on it however it goesPS We get a lot of steak and fries here - sometimes I get a craving for pecel lele or guduk (sp?) OR in Bandung, Ikan Mas!
In America, we dress up for Halloween (or the kids do - not me anymore) but for the most part, I don't think Americans really believe in spiritual things. However, that may be why we never have spiritual experiences. My wife, born in Solo, has a LOT of stories about seeing animals and people when she was a kid that were not there, materially - nothing as good as your story though.
