Really like the wardrobe failure incident with Mona - I kind of thought there was something in that smile. Re McCain, what can I say, he is a brave man, and pretty good pilot, whose thinking is decades behind where we need to be now.
See ya maybe
Hey RaraYou said "I am going home this weekend " BUT. Then what happened? Hope you are not sakit. Maybe just busy. Best Wishes
So much needed and so sad he could not realize his potential. No doubt there are many others; that is why we must get this stupid war over. Looks like we may just do that
Yup we got a good ribbing
that is pretty deep all right
As the saying goes, Our chances of getting out of this with a good result are Slim and None. And Slim left town.
Beautiful poem. The treatment by White men is still painful to read
I hope you are not pulling our leg slipping in that thing about Cambridge - if not Please go! The world can survive without another great (but strange) movie director, you will have a ball at Cambridge, the world does need some better cures for things, and your mother can call you there just as well. She'd better.
I am usually where I can't listen and my hookup is slow so have trouble with audio. I will come back for this. Randi is off radio now - hope she will be back. The station that had them both here was bought and silenced. I understand exactly what Obama meant having lived 30 years among such people and being one myself at that time. No doubt there was a spy from either Clinton or McCain in the closed meeting - probably the latter. It will be a tough fight; as we know, those guys are good.
I first heard that word in high school when it was applied to me by my English teacher. I think when we are not "doing" something, we are mulling something unconsciously around in our mind - which usually helps us do something better later - that is my excuse and I am sticking to it!
What a Dork. But sometimes I do feel sorry for him. What is a dumb Texas kid, who got a pass from his father from ever doing anything hard, doing in the hardest job in the world? It is enough to drive one to drink.
My kids were crazy about Bob Dylan when they were in high school. Once I began to pay attention to the lyrics I had to agree that some of them were great poetry. But I thought the Pulitzer was for Journalism
reminds me, I LA. Lived there 25 years before moving on again. I like the people (but not so many), the craziness, the lack of attention span - the place grows on one
Patreaus seems to be a good guy and a smart general. But he is in an impossible situation and asked to produce a miracle. His is to do or die, like all soldiers. Bush says he will do what the Generals say and the Generals must do what the Commander in Chief says. In programming that is called a blind loop
