Usually after Jan 1, I gather up my stuff from the file box, and then get ready to do taxes. We do short forms, so no big deal, I usually take it to the Senior center where AARP, will do them on the computer for FREE.
This year I kept putting it off till a few weeks ago I called and they said there were full, no appointments left open. I felt mad at my self thinking I had procrastinated, and now we'd have to do it ourself. My friend offered to do it in Turbo tax, but I said no thanks, with all this "procrastination" I'm intuiting it's not good this year to do taxes online?
Now I just came across this and I feel validation from the Universe. Glad I went along with my intuition, even if it did make me uncomfortable, eventually I do get validation...patience!!!
So trust your intuition even if you have no proof..till the answer shows itself.

Weaknesses found in IRS computer system

WASHINGTON - One more tax-season dread: A week before the filing deadline, Treasury watchdogs said Monday that poor controls over IRS computers could allow a disgruntled employee, agency contractor or outside hacker to steal taxpayers' confidential information.

Investigators did not cite any specific cases of wrongdoing within the IRS, which processes some 137 million tax returns. But they suggested a lack of review means someone could get sensitive information and no one would ever know.
