Mourning the Death of a Friend

I pulled my chair up to the compute and put on my glasses ready to do some major reading on posts at Blogster.

However, when I opened up my notifications, there were only a few to read. Some of them were merely repeats of what I had read here and commented on already. I felt so very sad.

I couldn't stop myself from groping for the tissue. Blogster has been my first experience of blogging. It was a very happy time for me, but that is no longer true. It is slowly dying. Most of my friends have moved, and I am sure that those remaining will soon find another place to make friends and socialize.

It is only the dying embers of a fire that once burned so brightly. I mourn. And when I mourn, I have an overpowering urge to eat!

Wow...heartfelt post! I miss the old Blogster also. I still go over there, as a matter of fact, I had a mail message from someone that said they missed my posts over there. I told her that I would try to post both places; however, it can be difficult. I do go there and read the blogs of some that haven't come here and try to comment, I'm just not comfortable over there like I used to be. I'm enjoying myself over here with little stress and lots of online friends.

Gosh, just on your post here alone, I see so many people that came over... some that I didn't know were here!!

I know just how you feel. It's like when your favorite 99 cent breakfast joint closes. Nothing is ever that genuine again. But there are other places we can be fed. I wish it was named something other than MyBloggers, but it's here, it works, they are responding fast to our requests. Most of my friends have come here. That's a comfort. welcome to your new home. We're waiting for you!

You're not going back? Well, there goes half of my Blogster audience.

Aw... it is sad to see a once strong community be brought to its knees... but at least you haven't lost everyone. Most of us are over here.

Well I was sad at first about Blogster, but then it just started to make me angry. By the time I ended my account with Blogster, we were no longer friends. I stopped by there a couple of times after I left, but I don't waste my time now. I like mybloggers and I am glad everyone has moved on over.

Evolution takes time.

Life is like a tide, filled with high & lows. We must live within the moments we are given, both good and bad. It looks to me that the people that inhabited Blogster are migrating to MyBloggers, slowly but surely. So save the food for the party that we can have when we all turn MyBloggers
