Works in Progress

I have a lot of irons in the fire and have gotten some things done today, but at the same time have managed to procrastinate on some other items on my list.

I mowed a couple of lawns this morning before it got hot, and spent some time watching the river because with our recent hot weather the snow melt has increased, so the rivers are running high.

There was a water bottle trapped in the rocks by the pump house. It was partially filled with water, so was half floating. I wasn't able to retrieve it, so pushed it back out into the current.

I also did a load of laundry and hung it outside to dry in the hot sun, and meanwhile scanned some old photographs because I want to make DVDs of family photos to send to my cousins, but it's so boring I can only stand to do a few at a time. These are pictures I took before I had a digital camera, so it'll be nice to get them digitized. I'll share them with you (under the name Traveltales) when I get them done.

But I didn't clean the cabin next door, make up the beds and wash the used bedding. That's for tomorrow.

I am going to have to get some film and take pictures for insurance
purposes.

I'm starting to realize the value of pictures of just the landscape to document how things were at a given point in time. Digital cameras have changed our lives.

The rush is we are having a family reunion this summer and I need to make CDs and DVDs of photos and documents to hand out to the cousins.

My photos are on the computer, but I also have hand held prints. Easier for children and future generations to look at. Don't overwork!

I have 100 years of family photos and will take them to the family reunion this summer to see if anyone is interested.

I like that idea of digitalizing old pictures but I would have no idea where to start--I did put a lot of old photos on my computer because I do/did want to get rid of all the photo albums.
