It's always so good to hear from you, Mary. Our summer was cooler, too, and now we're heading into fall, seems like it was a short summer.
That's a good one. I remember my first real job out of college, the dismay of finding out I would only get two weeks of vacation a year.
What a cute dog! Tell her it was worth the trouble. Those look like what I call Shasta Daisies, and I have been trying to get some started up here at 7000 ft (2134 meters).
Here's more about the color coding: "The lettering is about 8 inches tall, big enough that I could read most of it from the top of the parking garage. All of the personal effects were marked in green, the car parts in yellow, and the track of the car in red (one wheel was up on the sidewalk for a ways after impact). I could just about “see†the incident by looking at all that. There are also 2 half circles with arrows that I assume marked the head positions."
That 9-year old with a gun story is so bizarre. The parents should be blamed, the instructor should be blamed, and the owner of the gun range, too. That girl has to live with this for the rest of her life. And her parents recorded it.
I pasted all her posts from Blogster and MyBloggers into a Word document to keep because they were so funny. I especially loved the closings. Yr Missin' Bugg Friend, Laura
I'm picturing the floppy soles solution.
My father always insisted he couldn't eat store bread, so my mother baked 30 loaves at a time using a recipe like yours with the egg in it, and she put dry milk in the water, and froze them. She gave some of it away, and when people in town would ask for her bread recipe, she didn't tell them about the milk and the egg so they could never figure out why theirs wasn't as good as hers.
Sometimes I fantasize about starting from scratch in a much smaller place - order all new dishes and furniture from a catalog because I could never decide what of my old stuff to take with me. The tiny house would have to have a laundry room so I could wash my one extra set of clothes.
My comment was too long - I'll do a post about it. I agree that Facebook and Google are the evil empire because their whole purpose is to harvest our personal information to sell to marketers - but in some regards, they are a necessary evil. It's been awhile since I've stayed up all night reading a good book, but it's fun when one of those comes along.
I really like this style, I think it's the best so far.
What a lovely bag! I love variegated yarns, just to see how the design comes out. I don't ever think of doing two together, so will try to remember that.
I really enjoyed reading this. I don't share your passion for the Battlestar series, but now I can certainly appreciate it much more, and if I ever get a chance to see an episode, I'll be sure to watch it.
This style is so nice, and I can actually see the wind.
Oh my gosh. Who would think? Of course, now that I've heard about this from you I will see mention of this sort of thing time and again, and end up thinking it might be something I'd like to try to make, or maybe some other screwy project. But please don't forget to keep us updated on the progress because it does me good to think about something else besides the things that have me frazzled right now.
