How nice to get a part-time dog to take for walks. I was at a flood recovery expo today, and a couple of people brought their dogs inside to walk around with them. Around here, people take their dogs and pet birds with them to places like Home Depot. I can almost see taking them to Pets Mart because what if they need to try on a sweater, but I doubt the dog needs to approve the purchase of a screwdriver or plumbing connection.
I thought this post was going to be about me - I'm eccentric.
There are so many wonderful dog breeds, and it's interesting to discover some of the odd behaviors that are typical of each one that overlie the individual traits of a given dog.
Bon voyage, Kevin!
I'm astounded at the cookware that is advertised on TV, especially that one about the bacon. I forget what it's called, but the idea is to line the thing with bacon and fill it with food and then heat it somehow so the bacon gets crisp and brown, and that is going to solve all our problems - we'll all be fat and happy.
There must be some good stories behind some of those expressions.
Enough to drive a person to drink. I hope you are having some relaxing moments out on your terrace watching the fireflies these summer nights.
What an adventure. Once in awhile a lesson needs to be taught, and then you can coast on it for a long time, and have some good laughs. Best wishes to your mother.
I recognize the look of tyranny in her eyes - our cat has that same look because she knows she can push us around. At least you're having a boy, so you will have the set. I can remember back in the 1950s what a big deal that was to have a girl and a boy, and some couples would keep trying until they got the one they were missing: 5 boys and finally a girl so they could stop.
When Christmas finally gets here will he forget and get you another something big? Maybe another chest?
It'd be something to eavesdrop on a conversation - I'd wonder what language they were speaking - it'd sound like English words, but the contexts wouldn't make sense. Fun time trying to keep up.
Very pretty. I especially like the purple rocks in the foreground.
Looking back, was working on the railways fun? Seems like they do a lot of riding around and not much to look at until the caboose jumps the track or oops! there's a car on the crossing ahead.
Thanks for almost dropping by, Kevin. It's hard to see our place from the highway because of the trees and we're off the road - you never get a good look. There's a ton of motels and vacation condos all around Estes Park, and a few bars. They are going to have some breweries soon. The town had a whiskey tasting event last winter and I was a little bit surprised. Would have liked to have seen the liability waiver participants had to sign.
What a lovely cat against the pink, but it doesn't loo conceited about it.
