Be Mine Valentine

Happy anniversary to Jeri and Ted, also Marg and her DH.

The petunias in Las Vegas never stopped blooming over the winter.

Sky writing we saw the other day (or at least what we saw looked just like what got posted on the Flightaware website):

I didn't think we were going to do anything special today, but ended up going out for Mexican food. This was a nice change from cooking at home, even if it wasn't fancy.

We have been trying out a dietary supplement called phosphotidylserine for brain focus, and I think it might be working because the other day I looked at a number on the caller ID and remembered it long enough to walk across the room and type it into a search engine to discover that it was yet another telemarketer.

Thank you so very much for the Valentine card. Sending cards is my weak suit, I do good to remember to send Christmas cards. Is that the suppliment that comes from coconut oil?

You're welcome, Larry. I like people to know I'm thinking of them. Mr. Laura says: "phosphotidylserine is found in all living things and they used to get it from cow brains, but after the health scare with mad cow disease they turned to plant sources and most of it comes from soy." Based on that, it could come from coconut oil, too. I didn't realize he had researched it that much, but he never fails to surprise me.

Us too. I used to make a good green chili sauce for smothering burritos, but lost the touch. Maybe that will be one of summer projects.

Gone are the days when he brought home flowers, but that's okay, he makes up for it by fixing things around the house.

Thanks for your lovely doggy valentine I will try to get some phosphotidyiserine (if I can remember?) Always looking for brain aids.

The one we found is in a mixture with some other helpful things (but it's 70% of it); my cousins take it by itself, and that's what we're going to get next.

Thanks for the valentine. I bought my own at Tuesday morning and Ted's as
well, then got the girls some scrap book pages and materials.

And what did you eat--inquiring minds--well mine--want to know!
comment by greatmartin on Feb 14, 2012 7:59 PM ()
He had shrimp enchiladas with black beans, and I had chicken lettuce wraps - that comes with grated cheese, chopped fresh cilantro, diced tomatoes, and sliced hot peppers (some red kind, not jalapeno). And Boston lettuce. Water to drink.
