This is a fortunate thing for me, because today they built a ramp up to the end of my bridge so their equipment can get up there. No charge to me, one end of my bridge now provides temporary access for vehicles.

I still have to repair the house side of the bridge approach, but it is not as damaged. Also, most of my lane is 18 inches deep in very fine sand. When it is dry and loose, a four-wheel drive vehicle can't drive it without getting seriously stuck, so I still can't drive up to my front door, have to park 300 feet away and hike to the bridge. However, being able to walk across the bridge without climbing a step ladder is a huge improvement, especially after snow storms when it's icy.
