Kyro, one of the Loveland Police Department's three K9 dogs, shows off his new Kevlar vest that will help protect him from criminals who attempt to stab or shoot him in the line of duty.

These vests cost around $2000.

Isn't he a nice looking dog? And he looks so pleased with the new vest.

What a good idea for them to have bullet proof vests. I love the working

When I watch those police shows and the K-9 unit is involved, I worry so much about the dogs, but I know they enjoy their work.

I'm thinking of knitting a hoodie for my cat Buddy. He's getting old and bony, might appreciate the warmth. Maybe he would consent to wearing it if I tell him it's bullet-proof.

They had a story on TV news tonight about a pug that has helped a vet get on with his life---just wanted to hug that dog!!!

I googled it: Kyros or Cyrus, Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople from 705 to 712. He is regarded as a saint in the Orthodox Church and Roman Catholic Church, which had set his feast for January 7 in Roman Catholic Church and January 8 in Orthodox Church.
