Well, mine wasn't the only friendship she left in the dust when she got the call from the defense to be an expert witness. The other day at the supermarket one of the other un-friended ladies saw her in the supermarket, the first time since the verdict came down.
Here is how my still-a-friend described it:
"No, actually she came over to me. "Boy, have I missed you!" What BS.... First thing she said was that she had testified for the defense
in the Anthony case. Surprise, surprise. I replied with that I believed that the defendant was guilty and didn't respond to what I thought about her testimony. I think that disappointed her. She said now we. Yes, that was we had to worry about her safety. Of course, I wanted to know why that was our responsibility. Gave me the whole innocent till proven guilty theory. Whatever.
She was making pickles. I asked her about the golf tournament and she said they had uninvited her. Don't quite know what that means.
Said I hadn't heard much since my computer was down. She said "oh, you maybe didn't get a copy of my email of how much I would miss seeing Anne and you". Something has to be terribly wrong or she has the biggest ego of anyone I have ever met."
We'll hash this over some more next time I see her, and have a good laugh.
