Snow! Yes, it's snowing again tonight. I say bring it on! We've got a lot of dry winter weather to make up for.

We had a Darwin Awards event in Colorado over the weekend - some professional snow boarders were trying to draw attention to avalanche safety by 'safely' boarding near Loveland Pass in Colorado, and triggered a big avalanche that killed five of them. They all had the right equipment, but it didn't help. One escaped unscathed. It's the sort of situation where we feel that at least they were doing something they loved.

That storm was a huge weather-maker, and I hoped you were getting a good snowfall. Love the photos!

Sad news about the snow boarders. I heard they went off trail to ski, more exciting and thrilling, the survivor said. They were very experienced and knew the risks.

So glad you're getting the moisture you need. The snow boarding tragedy sure gets one to thinking that even experts get into trouble.
