Grest pic! It was dark and dreary down here in RI, as well. I don't usually mind the rain so much, but I hate it when it is so dark all day like this.
Beautiful!
Is the group the local branch of the SCA? I have a lot of friends who were/are in that in the New England area. It sounds like you had a lot of fun.
I haven't seen shelter, but it definitely sounds really good. I will have to see if I can get a chance to see it.
I thought that Milk was wonderfully done, too. There was a great documentary of Harvey Milk that you should try to see, too, though the movie really captures the documentary well. I understand that it was a source for the writer. It was called The Times of Harvey Milk. I would suspect that your school's library would have it in the collection.
I think that it is great that they show the films like this. I wish my school had done that.
What a great song selection! I know that Buffy will be remembered by so many of us.
Thanks for sharing. Very interesting!
Very cool with the project!
I am so glad that you are enjoying college. I really enjoyed my college years a lot. There was a lot of fun and great times with great friends.
Great pic of you and your cousin!
That sounds so difficult! Buffy was lucky to have the two of you. You were so kind and loving and generous to him. He made a difference in your lives, and you made his life very special.
I know what you mean! It seemed to move along pretty quickly, but there did seem to be something a bit off. I couldn't figure it out either. Ray loved the special affects.
I always feel for poor Hades. He is always painted as the villain just because he rules the Underworld....
I am so sorry for you. Belle, Jolie, Ray and I are thinking about you and Mike!
China seems to have become a bit of a paradox. The Communist Party seems to be trying to maintain its stranglehold on the people, but in order to do so (particularly since it took Hong Kong back in), it has been forced to do some liberalizing in the area of economics, personal wealth, and freedoms. There definitely are still a lot of issues, but part of the reason the economy has been doing so well (10% jumps in GDP each year for a number of years up until this year, when they are [I think] looking at 4% growth, which we would love to have]). I do think the result will be a better China. Ironically, it seems to be transitioning better than Russia, which more directly threw off its communist yoke.
Those were really cool looking boats!
Have fun babysitting!
It sounds like your school really is a welcoming campus. That is great!
Dinner looked so yummy. I haven't been to an Outback in ages ... we don't really have one nearby. Do they still have their Victorian Falls chicken or cheesy fries? I was hooked on both of those.
That is great. I am sure you will do wonderfully! URI, where I am an adjunct instructor at the library school, started up this week too, which means I had my first class tonight, and my other class kicks off tomorrow morning. It is always pretty exciting.
URI has a whole LGBTQ Center, too. It has come quite far since my years there as a student in the 1990's when we had a a club, but no more than an office in the student union.
