Still grieving about the loss of our pet. Have good days and bad days. It will be while before getting over this. Feel so funny coming home and not have him greet me at the door. All of the little things means a lot to me. But I do managed to keep myself busy. Today I kept myself busy and did things that I normally don't do. I cleaned up some part of the cellar,went to the dump as this is Mikes job for he does not want me to do this. But have to move on. Came home had lunch and made chocolate chips cookies for Mike. Have not done this for a long time. Clean the driveway with all the debris that we had the other day from the rain and heavy wind. I felt good today and just wanted to do something. Thank you all for the support of my beloved Buffy. Will missed him terribly and know that I will get over this in the near future. As far as getting another dog,it will be a while. First get all my traveling done and then settled down. I do want another but not right away.
I leave you with Barbra Streisand singing"Somewhere"this is the song will be sung at my Celebration of Life.This is for Buffy to let him know that we will be out there for him. Also dedicate to Marvin Hamlish. Good afternoon and have a nice weekend. Love from the boys at the school house.

What a wonderful tribute for him. He was a beautiful dog - thanks for sharing your feelings about this. I too wear my heart on my sleeve and can cry just thinking about losing one of my girls.
Beautiful- this made me cry.
I am listening to the song now. y parents have songs as well... my mom's is The Rose by Bette Midler and my Dad's is Blaze of Glory by Kenny Rogers. I asked them this when I was like 12 for some reason! I know Buffy is missed. It's SO hard when they have to leave us... Take your time grieving, it will take a long time before things will seem to be back to normal. {{{{HUGE HUGS}}}}}
Glad to hear you "moving on". No sense in moping for the rest of your life. Is "Somewhere" for your "celebration of life" or Buffy's? It's one of my favorite Streisand songs. I get chills when I hear the French horns.
You never forget your special pets. You are right. It is better to enjoy the freedom to travel and then to settle on a new, young dog. There are plenty of them waiting for a new home.
I still get teary-eyed thinking about out cat Buddy who died in April. It takes awhile to forget our dear companions.
What a great song selection! I know that Buffy will be remembered by so many of us.
Ah, Fredo, I'm so sorry about Buffy. I empathize, as we just lost our doxie a week ago. I haven't been able to gather sufficient resources to post about it. I will soon.
