Watching the Fish - Las Vegas

This is one of the newer slot machines we've seen at various casinos here in Las Vegas. The screens are huge - four or five 60-inch LCDs in a row, and the fish swim across them.

The theme is fishing derby, and the bonus round involves trying to catch more fish than the person next to you. I've never played it, I just like watching the fish.

It's amazing how real the fish appear.

I wonder if there are downloadable programs that would run on an electronic picture frame.

So they are encouraging gambling competition between the seatmates? I haven't been to Vegas for 20+ years. I used to like SlotsO'Fun for their penny slots. I am a cheap date.

It's the Community Play concept where if one person hits the bonus round, the other eligible players (max credits usually) all participate in the bonus round. When the casinos first introduce a new game like that it's easy to win and people get hooked, and then it gets tightened up and all it does is take your money so people lose interest. Penny games are very prevalent in all the casinos now, with max bets of $2.50 or even $5.00 a spin.

And big!! I might see if I can find a screen saver to download, but some of those are a scam to get our email addresses so they can sell it.

I would love to have one of those in my living room - not the slot part, just the computer aquarium. I don't know if it makes bubbly noises - the casino is so noisy.
