We started watching the Astronomy Picture of the Day website about 4:20, and went back, refreshing the screen, every 15 minutes or so. I didn't get to see the end of the crossing because at midnight a new picture was posted on that site.
While I was watching it, I marveled at our technology that lets us see a solar event like this without burning our eyes out.
