This is in Capitol Reef National Monument in Utah. I can never get enough of seeing that type of desert scenery.

I love this picture. Think of all the sights these two dogs have seen while rafting on the rivers here in the southwest.

I don't think I ever knew where this garden is.

Most people think the desert is just flat sand, but Utah is full of beautiful rock formations.

I haven't hiked in a desert, only mountains. Must be quite different when you don't have to wait for a clearing to look around.

In the west we can see the scenery for miles, and when we go back east it just sneaks up on us, pops out from behind a bush or tree, and we get lost all the time.

And it's mostly petunias - something easy to grow. I think it's in some arab country, but I'm not sure.
