"A confrontation between two drivers led to a man being shot in the head Tuesday afternoon east of McCarran International Airport, Metro Police said.

Police said the apparent case of road rage involving a Jeep and a truck started at the intersection of Sunset Road and McLeod Drive.

After the initial conflict, the driver of the truck parked in a business complex in the 6200 block of McLeod Drive, which is near Patrick Lane, police said. The Jeep followed and blocked the truck, police said.

The truck driver responded by ramming his vehicle into the Jeep, police said. That’s when authorities said the driver of the Jeep pulled a gun and shot the truck driver twice in the head.

The victim, described as a male in his late teens, was alert and talking when emergency crews transported him to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, police said. His current condition is unknown.

The suspect, meanwhile, approached officers on scene and admitted he was the shooter, police said. The man, described as being in his 30s, was taken into police custody."
