Another Long-distance Cat Story

From Channel 7 news in Denver:

"A cat that disappeared in Florida in August has been found in Colorado.
Daniel Johns adopted Waylon the cat from a shelter in Naples, Fla. in August. However, less than 30 minutes after Johns brought the cat home, Waylon escaped through a dryer vent.
A Good Samaritan found Waylon in Littleton this week. She took Waylon to the Foothills Animal Shelter where they scanned the cat and found a chip that showed Johns as his owner.

How Waylon ended up in Colorado is a mystery, according to fast4pets.org. But officials said Johns is planning to come to Colorado to pick up Waylon next week."

Buddy the Interstate Cat gets to go out in the yard alone here in Las Vegas but he has to be supervised when we are in Colorado because of the wild animals.

I wonder if whomever brought it to Colorado was planning on keeping it, and then it escaped through the dryer vent at their house, too.

Pretty expensive cat. Likely to run away again. Amazing story.

I think I'd have left the cat in Colorado.

He must be a remarkable cat. You'd think they would have gotten another shelter cat by now. Maybe now they will have two cats and be more careful to keep them inside. Hugs and ear scratches to Angel.
